The Week Ahead (June 17th - 23rd, 2013)
We want to start with a special congrats to everyone who participated in the 2013 SF Marathon! We also want to thank everyone who helped at the SFFR Water Station during the event. Onto this week, we are half-way through Pride Month, but, as you all know, there are a ton of events and volunteer opportunities ahead! Here is your weekly source of all things Frontrunners coming in the days ahead! Special news and events are at the beginning of this post, and regular/reoccurring events are on the lower half.
Special Events/News This Week:
*Registration continues for 2013 Pride Run and 2013 Pride Meet: You can register for the 2013 SFFR Pride Run here (link). You can also register for the 2013 SF Track & Field Club Pride Meet here (link).
*SFFR Pride Run on June 29th - Volunteers needed: It’s that time again! One of our biggest events of the year and biggest opportunities to support our community is here: The San Francisco FrontRunners Pride Run! The success of the event relies directly on our volunteer force. We are seeking volunteers for a variety of things, ranging from race course setup and festivities area, to registration and the balloon arch. Remember, you can volunteer AND run in the event. Sign up to volunteer by sending an email to racedirector@sffr.org
*SF Track & Field Club Pride Beverage Booth on June 30th - Volunteers needed: Our Track & Field friends will be hosting a beverage booth during Pride on Sunday the 30th. They are looking for some volunteers to help run the booth with them. Not only does it help support their club, but we also get half of the tips they receive! If you are interested in volunteering, send an email to Bob at callori@sbcglobal.net.
*Pride Meet on July 7th - Volunteers needed: Track & Field Club will also need volunteers to help out during the Pride Meet. It’s an exciting day full of events, and helping out makes everything run smoothly and remain fun and exciting for all! If you are interested in volunteering, send an email to Bob at callori@sbcglobal.net.
-Pride Committee Meeting - Wednesday, June 19th - 415 Hill Street - 6:30PM: It’s crunch time! We now meet weekly to go over all the fine details of the Pride Run. Head over to Bob’s and Chris’ place at 6:30 to help make the event a success! Plus, free dinner is always provided!
